What this site collects
Nothing that identifies you.
There are no advertising trackers, no social media pixels, no session recording, no cookies set by this site, and no web fonts or scripts loaded from third-party servers. Nothing on these pages phones home.
Counting
This site counts two things, using its own code on its own server. Nothing is sent to an analytics company.
When you load a page, it records which page was loaded. When you click through to a caterer, it records which caterer you clicked and which page you clicked from. Each record also keeps the country the request came from, because whether the readers are actually in Texas is a question worth being able to answer.
That is the whole list. No cookie is set, no identifier is assigned, and nothing links one page view to another or to you. The records cannot be used to work out that the same person visited twice, because that information is never collected in the first place.
Why count at all: caterers pay to be featured here, and they are quoted the real number of views and click-throughs their category page produced. Those numbers have to come from somewhere, and this is the least invasive way to get them. If the counting is ever removed or changed, this page changes with it.
Email you send
If you email the address on this site, that email sits in a mailbox and is used to answer you. It is not added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
Links out
Links to caterers go to their own websites. What those sites collect is up to them and is covered by their own policies.
Payments
If you buy a featured listing, it will be billed through Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly and are never seen by or stored on this site. Stripe's own privacy policy governs that data. Nobody has been billed yet.
Hosting
The site is static files served by Cloudflare Pages, plus two small functions on the same domain: the counter described above, and a password-locked dashboard only the site's owner can open. The counts are stored on Cloudflare, the same company that serves the pages; no one else receives them. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for a limited period as part of operating the network.
Changes
If any of this changes, this page changes with it.
